Something is growing on DW
I have been cycling my tank for 5 days. There is no fish inside. And i noticed that there is this thing (algae i pressume) growing mostly on my DW.Any of bro encounter this before? What is exactly this thing? And how to prevent this from growing/spreading?

ive ever face this problem before. i suspect is the wood not process fully before put in the tank. this is like organic decaying symptom. may be some scoutting fish can help to eat up these sludge. small clayfish also will do good job which ive done with.

Thinking if adding UV filter will help.

>The white thingy on your driftwood is completely harmless and quite common for new wood. Ive experienced it myself a few times and some fish may eat it too. Itll go away and it wont do anything harmful to your fish.
