This thread is so good yet so confusing.
Been reading over and over again yet dont know which is the correct way to attaining good water parameter.
Inside say a thing that confused me a lot.
Photosynthesis....
It says that plant use carbon dioxide to photosynthesis but co2 exist only bare minimum in water.
Once theres no co2, it will take in bicarbonate ions instead which will make pH decrease.
In short, plant take co2, no co2 take bicarbonate ions, then pH reduce, pH reduce lead to BB stop working and dies, BB dies will lead to high ammonia and nitrite, and lastly fishes will die!!!!!
So now, is it advisable not to have any water PLANT in an understock, highly aerated tank since co2 doesnt exist?
Need water parameter shifus insight!
