Lets Discuss Ray Genetics

Hi people,
It came to my attention that there are some disagreement on the actual bloodline of some rays on sale here in AFT. And i feel that it is a very good discussion topic. I put this thread up for the purpose of a friendly discussion. Do join in the discussion with regards to the topic of ray genetics. This discussion is not targetted at any person but merely for the sake of discussion. Any posting that is found to be flaming or trying to seed disharmony in the forum will be dealt with. Now that i have made myself clear, we shall move on into the main topic.
I will take the buy/sell incident as an example and start the discussion from there. At any point of time any members with doubts or queries are welcomed to post here in this discussion. I would also urge ray gurus out there to come forward to share your experiences and also findings. Photos would be greatly appreciated so we can learn more from this discussion.
Member average_cc had posted the below rays for sale. The pups are labelled as Leopearleo pups. Attached are the video of the pups for sale.
Below are the photos of the parents as claimed by member average_cc
The Father 13+
/
The Mother 20
/
Based on the above video and photos provided, i hope we can have some discussion on the pattern and genetic feature of the parents and pups. Are they related or are they not? Do post up photos if you have any to share too.
Last but not least i remind everyone again. This is a thread meant for friendly discussion. No flamings and nonsense will be tolerated.

This is interesting. Im no expert and my knowledge is limited. Let me share my opinions
Looking from the video, the pups certainly did not inherit the majority traits of their father. Most evidently in the tail length and no presence of any flagged tip. The variation of spots and patterns on the pups looks quite different as well.
Anyway, here is a thread that was started by Jimmy previously which contains updates of the pups chronological birth.
On another note, any leo pearl breeders that can share photos of their pups and parents will be able to help paint a clearer picture
Do share your opinions and discuss constructively.

Pls enjoy your discussion. Catch with you guys later when Im back on wednesday. Hi there Jimmy, I have absolute no interest to know what you do for a living in the past. We are just here as hobbyists here to enjoy our hobby and share our experience, irregardless if you are a road sweeper or a CEO of whatever big organisation.
This thread is started as a discussion thread about ray genetics, not to discuss what you do in the past for a living. Your posting above will only attract unwanted comments. So please take things with a pinch of salt. I have already stated that this thread is started not to target at anyone. So the next person who deviate from the discussion of ray genetics and start telling me about whatever will either get your post deleted or dealt with.
Now back to the topic. Teach me more about ray genetics please anyone.
>LEOXPEARL X LEO back consist stronger genetics codes resemblance to the LEO aka P13 Category. Thus, Leopearl crossed breeded back by Leo, their offsprings should be having shorter tail and more to a flag tail shaped F1/F2 generation. After cross breeding back on F3/F4, the offspring will resemble much more on LEO rather than on the SP side.... From the video, it is evidently shown that these offspring pups are genetically ressemble more to the SP side. Second, black PDR/BD/BDLEO males they dont tend to mature at size 13inches plus and started mating. Black rays starts to mature at the disc size at least 15inches and visible signs of developed clasper can be seen easily. From this pic of the father, it is hardly he is even matured.
For pic illustration wise, I think bro Lincoln will have intensive pic illustrated for the F1/F2/F3 pups...
As a fellow Singapore Ray Community member, we should always promote and educate the new generation of ray keepers with correct information. It is not about any commercial interest conflict and I dont market leopearl as most of the brothers here knows. Misleading information is not right to do so.

I am waiting for photos to make the picture clearer. Hopefully someone can come forward with that.
